Nail Polish!

I've been trying the natural nail thing for awhile. Acrylics get on my damn nerves now so I've been on a nail polish kick and my favorite Nail Polish at the moment is.....
Opi's "Mod About You". I ordered this on Amazon.com because it seems they don't make it anymore. It's a gorgeous, pastel pink. ALMOST reminds me of Pepto Bismal. It took 2 coats to make it opague.
My big obnoxious blue ring - "Calypso" by Lia Sophia.

Products I love, Products I think everyone should have PT. 1!

So I wanted to make a favorites post, combined with products I think everyone should have. There are certain things that I believe to be essential in anyone's makeup kit.
Let's get right into it.

Eyeshadow Primer
Urban Decay Primer Potion, $18.00
I get asked ALLLL the time how my eyeshadow stays on all day and never creases. This baby right here is how it all stays put. This is an HG (holy grail) product for me. I believe this product is worth every penny, seeing as I've gone through 4 already. For those of you who can't imagine spending that much money on a product, I reccomend using a little bit of concealer or foundation on the lids to make shadow stick.

White eyeliner

NYX Jumbo Pencil in 'Milk'. about $3.00
White eyeliner is a staple for me. You can use it as an eyeshadow base to make eyeshadow colors pop. It is an amazing eye opener when used on the inner rim of the eyes. It's like a jumbo cup of coffee for the eyes. I like to use it on the inner corner of my eyes- the 'tear duct' area and blended under the brow bone for that extra lift.

Pencil Sharpener

NYX Eyeliner Sharpener
A dull eyeliner or brow pencil just sucks. Pencil products harbor germs and you should sharpen your pencil EVERY TIME before you use it. If you find the tip on your eyeliner breaks easily, pop it in to the freezer for a few minutes. The NYX sharpener is my personal favorite.

A good set of brushes
I really can't stress this enough. Please throw out those gross sponge tip applicators. Don't use your finger, don't use a Q-Tip. Brushes are essential and make ALL THE DIFFERENCE. They take a look from unblended to beautiful. I can't really reccomend a good set of brushes because my own collection is so random. I LOVE MAC brushes, especially the 188 (stippling brush for foundation, blush or powder) and the 217 (for blending eyeshadow) but I know not everyone can afford these brushes. I absolutely ADORE Sonia Kashuk for Target's brushes. The brushes alone are pricey, but there are usually pre-made sets available for purchase. They are great quality and I own several.

First Post!

Hello everyone!
This is Kait, one half of the posting duo Pucker-Up. I wanted to just jump on here quickly and make a post. I am a hardcore makeup enthusiast and I am soooo excited to start blogging, even more so now that one of my good friends has agreed to blog with me. I've known her for many years and she actually inspired me to start doing & collecting makeup. We have different styles, but our passion is all the same. I am currently a stay at home momma of one gorgeous little boy who lights up my life.  This blog will house the thoughts of both Brittany and myself. Videos will be posted as well as product reccomendations, Opinions and reviews, photos and FOTD's, and of course, whatever else we feel like posting. I look forward to blogging for all of you!
